Here at Apogee, our ethos is simple: children and young people deserve the opportunity to become the best version of themselves. We provide this opportunity through a variety of personalised education and training programmes, all of which are led by a team of highly trained, experienced and motivated individuals.
We aim to build resilient, independent and well-rounded students through a bespoke yet varied programme. Our specialised therapeutic interventions, sports-coaching and unique outdoor setting gives our students a platform to learn new skills in a way they haven't been able to before.
'Apogee threw themselves wholeheartedly into finding out the best ways in which they could support 'K'. There was good, steady communication with school throughout the week so it always felt like we were on the same page in terms of getting the very best for - and out of - K during her time with them' - BW, SENDCO, Bristol
'Access to green space is important to the mental well-being, overall health and cognitive development of children' - Sciencedirect
Our new facility, situated in Ashton Court, is the perfect environment for our holistic approach to education. Access to green space, clean air and working within nature is scientifically proven to enhance physical and mental wellbeing. While many of us take it for granted, many young people do not have access to these spaces - especially those from low-income families or urban settings. Here at Apogee, we pride ourselves in providing fun and accessible outdoor-education to students from all walks of life!
Our sessions are designed and led by our qualified teachers and SEMH specialists. We have a wealth of experience in teaching and education across the SEMH sector, including schools, PRUs, prisons and other alternative provisions. We know how to meet the needs of children and young people on an individual basis.
Additionally, we offer our students a range of tangible nationally recognised qualifications, certification and experiences. Many alternative provisions are unable to facilitate these programmes, and we are proud that our training and environment allows us to offer our students these opportunities.
'A curriculum needs to be ambitious and designed to give learners, particularly the most disadvantaged, the knowledge and cultural capital they need to succeed in life' - OFSTED
Apogee Education offers a wide and diverse curriculum for our students. We understand the huge impact positive experiences have on our young people, we also understand the opportunities that gaining academic and vocational qualifications can open up. We think that these two approaches are not mutually exclusive, and hope our offerings dovetail across the two.

Rebound Therapy - A trampoline based therapy widely recognised for its obvious physical health benefits. As well as these, Rebound Therapy has shown great results in emotional literacy development, helps to build trust, resilience, self confidence and above all is extremely fun! https://www.reboundtherapy.org
Thrive - ‘The Thrive Approach’ has evolved over the last 25 years, and helps our children and young people gain the knowledge, skills and tools to optimise their social and emotional development. This focuses on the relationship with the child or young person, and their emotional development can be assessed and fed back to the school. This in turn helps the surrounding adults better strategise and support that young person, by using specially put together action plans designed by our lead Thrive therapist. https://www.thriveapproach.com/the-thrive-approach/
Mentoring - We offer bespoke mentoring to our older students, and help them to find appropriate work experience placements, college visits and training programmes. Helping to bridge this gap between school and further education or training can have a huge impact on future attendance and ultimately completion of the course.
Work experience and community projects - We offer a range of experiences and projects in the local area covering work experience, volunteer work, community projects and school work.
